The message pastor shared today is that we are all worth it in the eyes of God.  God sent His Son to be our Savior because we are all worth it to Him.  This is great news and provides us with a call to share God's love with others, as whatever we do for God's purpose is definitely worth it.  Yesterday our family was out and about running errands.  We started the day shopping and something interesting happened at our first stop.  We were checking out and one of the items we had at the register was a music cd.  The clerk scanned the item but it came up as $0.00.  She tried again, but the same result.  She then had an associate bring another copy of the cd to the register, but to no avail, this one too rang up as $0.00.  We decided to just hold off on that purchase, but the event got me thinking.  Perhaps this is a message to us.  Perhaps this is a reminder that giving something up for free is something we should do more often.  We decided to put this to practice at our next stop.  We went and ate lunch at a restaurant nearby.  When we were finished, we left a copy of our cd along with our tip on the table.  A free cd for someone that we didn't know was a fun way to spread some joy and share some music.  We don't know how our gifts will be used in God's plan, but we need to continue to share, as it is worth it.
